Renters beware. Before you sign, check to see what kind of air conditioning unit you’ll have. My son rented a cottage in Norman that was brand new last year. They didn’t tell him that they were trying out a new eco-friendly a/c unit in his cottage. His is the only unit in the country that has this. IT DOES NOT WORK EFFICIENTLY! It doesn’t pull the moisture out of the air well and they also didn’t put ceiling fans in so it’s warm in the summer. He and his roommates are also charged for extra electricity they use every month that goes over their allowance. It has already quit working twice this spring. It was out for 3 days a few days ago and is now out again. My son was told they are putting these same units in the LSU cottages. If it doesn’t get better, we’ll be contacting lawyers. LA is more humid than OK so I’d check on it. I can’t believe they are using this same unit at LSU when it’s been awful for my son.
